Team 432, mentored by Tom Pope and comprised entirely of 10th-grade engineering students, made an extraordinary debut. Selected to join Alliance 1, they went on to become Miami Valley Regional Champions—an incredible achievement in their first-ever competition!
Additionally, a huge congratulations to Ray Frank, Mechatronics Instructor at Butler Tech’s D. Russel Lee campus, who was honored as a Woodie Flowers Finalist Award winner. This prestigious award celebrates mentors who excel at inspiring students through clear communication, motivation, and enthusiasm for science, technology, and engineering. Recognized by his students for his ability to engage them in creative problem-solving and teamwork, Ray has now earned the opportunity to compete for the global Woodie Flowers Award in Houston.
We are proud of the dedication of our talented students and mentors. Ray and Tom, thank you for your commitment to transforming lives and inspiring future leaders in STEM!
